To enhance customer acquisition, streamline costs, minimize abandonment rates, and offer an enhanced customer experience, the bank is preparing to introduce a mobile-based digital account opening application that is designed to be both scalable and user-friendly.
This same mobile application will serve as a platform to introduce various non-financial services to both new and existing customers, enabling them to apply for a range of services directly from their smartphones, regardless of their location.
The bank is exploring three distinct account opening options:
- Instant account opening using the Aadhar number
- Digital account opening with Aadhar paired with biometric KYC or Video KYC
- Digital account opening with OVD along with biometric KYC or Video KYC
In addition to digital account opening services, the bank is considering offering KCC renewal services to its existing KCC customers.
